Shriners belong to an international fraternity of approximately 360,000 members in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Philipines and Puerto Rico. Founded in 1872, the Shrine is best known for its unique parades, its distinctive red fez, and its official philanthropy—children's hospitals.
