Behind the Scenes At The Shrine Circus

As we prepare to open the doors to the Big Top tonight in Brampton, Ontario we thought we would give you an insight on what goes on behind the scenes.

Life at the Shrine Circus is never dull, there is always energy flowing, performers practicing, animals to care for, sets to be set up and well life as we know it.

Rather than us tell you what behind the scenes at Shrine Circus is like, let’s allow the words of some local bloggers to do the story-telling. At our opening night in Rexdale we invited some reputable local bloggers to join us with their families to see what our life is like backstage.

Shrine Circus Brings Affordable Family Fun

The first leg of the Shrine Circus Ontario tour has come to a close and many families are left with fond memories of their time in the Big Top. Hundreds of families joined us to be amazed by the close proximity of the show!

Big Top Shrine Circus

We are on our way to Brampton next where we’ll open on July 5th. Under the Big Top you are just feet away from our high-flying performers, the majestic cats, the HUGE elephants and yes even our loveable clown Piolita. When you’re this close to the action you truly feel like a part of the community, and you may be asked to participate in the show.

As you enter the Big Top you’ll immediately be struck by the sounds and smells of the circus. Fresh popcorn, hot dogs, hay for the elephants, the sounds of the tigers and of course the music all greet your ears to inform you that you can leave your worries behind you and come join the circus for a few hours.

Once you’ve found your seats, head over to get some food or how about an elephant ride for a small extra fee? There are face painters, and souvenirs but you can forgo all of this and simply sit and enjoy the sights and sounds which are found only under the Big Top.

Shrine Circus Supports Local Charity

The Shrine Circus provides a quality fun filled family experience with proceeds going to great causes including the good work of Rameses Shriners in the GTA.

From the earliest days Shriners have been known for their philanthropic efforts locally and across the country. Local Ontario Rameses Shriners sponsor a range of activities and programs that include services for children and their families needing specialized medical treatment and related transportation. Shriners belong to an international fraternity of approximately 340,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Panama.

The Shrine Circus is committed to bringing affordable family entertainment to the cities that it visits. We truly believe that every child should have the chance to experience the magic of the circus. That is why the Shrine Circus has teamed up with Kids Up Front to put 6000 tickets in to the hands of children who would otherwise never get to see the show.

Kids Up Front has sent over 1 million children to events across Canada through their mission to provide access to arts, culture, sports and recreation to children who otherwise would not have the opportunity. The Shrine Circus is proud to be a part of this wonderful initiative.

Make sure to buy your tickets today. To make this even an even more affordable event for families, use the coupon code FUN to get 2 tickets for the price of one! Please note that the coupon code can only be used on General Admission not VIP seating tickets.
